Project Outcome

Working as a documentary composer on women helping women deliver babies safely in times of conflict, I feel deeply moved and inspired by the stories and experiences of these incredible women. It also rings true to me as my mother was a midwife in the Middle East for some time.  Through my music, I have sought to capture the emotional depth and complexity of their experiences, and to honor the incredible work that they are doing in the face of incredible adversity. I have also wanted to include a touch of Middle Eastern music to capture the culture of this story.

It has been an honour to work on a project that shines a light on the strength and resilience of women, and I hope that this documentary will inspire others to support this important cause. Lauren Anders Brown always works on incredible documentaries and its always a great experience to compose for her.
